omg i am so distressed.

i have a talk coming up on tuesday, it is the number 3 "abiram.

why opposing god appointed authority is tantamount to opposing god himself"!.

Go for it BU2B! Your talk would definitely help thinking dubs in your hall. It may even enable you to identifiy other awake JWs. But don't be surprized if you end up on the elder's radar. Like you said, just play dumb if the elders ask you any Qs.

faders need a secret sign to use at the khall.

the thought came to me after reading replies to datadogs post on stopping singing at the meetings.. i can suggest a few secret signs for faders to use and to look for at the khall, but it would be better that current meeting attenders make suggestions here.

if readers on this site can agree to a secret sign to use at the meetings, just imagine the power that would have at your kingdom hall.

How about this protocol:

You ask the person who you suspect to be a fader: "Do you know what a tat is?"

If the person knows ttatt, they then must respond with the question: "Is that tat spelled with 4 T's?"

(If it's a sleeping JW they'll just say: "No, I don't" or "Is that short for tattoo?" If the sleeping JW ask you why you ask you could just say you overheard someone talking about a tat and wondered what that was.)

Then you reply by saying: "Maybe. Do you know what it means?"

Then they must say: "Are you fully awake my brother [or sister], you look a bit drowsy?

Then you must say: "Oh yes! I'm to-ttatt-ly awake!"

Interesting Choice of Words

i get into words, and why certain words are used, and the meaning of certain words as they are used, especially by the wt&t$.

i noticed the way this statement about relief work in the phillipines news article on j.worg was written:.

"an estimated 15 to 20 percent of those seeking refuge at the site are non-witnesses.".

I don't think there was any nefarious intentions by that statement a la demeaning non-Witnesses. I think it's just Watchtower trying hard to break the truthful stereotype that the JW organization, in times of disaster, tend to give help only to JWs. I don't see anything remotely demeaning or nefarious about the term non-Witness. If they had said 'worldly' it would have been a different matter.

Peter in Babylon? - 1 Peter 5:13

for any looking over the wt study article for 3-30-2014, paragraph 9 refers to peter spending time in babylon.

the paragraph speaks of peter living in babylon as if it were a well established fact.

in fact, the only evidence for this idea is 1 peter 5:13.. see here for a writeup that analyzes 1 peter 5:13 and whether "babylon" really means the city of babylon.

Or perhaps Revelation isn't as prophetic as we think. Perhaps it was written after the fact. If it was written before, then it certainly seems strange that the opening chapters of Revelation does not address any counsel to the congregation in Jerusalem.

The fact that the Romans came and destroyed Jerusalem in 70 A.D. taking many Jews captive also mirrors the action of Babylon centuries earlier, making the term Babylon a fitting symbolic term for Rome.

to go along with this video if you look closely at any cover of the latest wt or aw magazines you will always find (if you take your time) a pyramid or triangle in some shape or form even if it is not completely symmetrical, check it out on the jw website.

also virtually all kingdom hall exteriors will have a pyramid or triangle shaped roof, take a look at your local hall or google kingdom halls.
